Public consultation: Update of Belgium’s National Biodiversity strategy to 2030

From June 24 to September 24, 2024, the FPS Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment and the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural sciences are organizing a public consultation on the draft of the 'Update of the Belgian national biodiversity strategy until 2030'. This gives you the opportunity to give your opinion and we can take this into account when developing the final strategy.

As part of the implementation of decision 15/6 of the Convention on Biological Diversity, Belgium has committed to review its national biodiversity strategy until 2030. This update is intended to align the Belgian objectives with the Kunming-Montreal global biodiversity framework and the European Biodiversity Strategy until 2030.

The strategy includes 15 strategic objectives and 80 operational objectives, covering a wide range of actions around the main causes of biodiversity loss, the restoration of degraded ecosystems, the integration of biodiversity throughout society, etc.

Your opinion matters!

All information that you need to be able to participate in the public consultation is available in FR and NL
